Our Heritage
Diamond 2 Scalzo Brothers Inc. (D2S) was founded in 2002 by Carlo Scalzo. In 1988, at the age of 20, he was introduced to the jewellery industry and started his career working as a salesman for a local distributor in Italy. Very early on, it became clear that he had great passion and talent for the business. This led him to open his own retail store in Italy in 1991.
Over the years, he made many visits to Canada and saw great potential for growth in the Canadian market for fine Italian jewellery. In 2002, he seized the opportunity and started a new venture in wholesale distribution in Canada.
The Visionary
Carlo Scalzo, founder of Caprices, is undeniably a force to be reckoned with in the industry. With his great passion for his customers, knowledge of his products and awareness of the market, he is able to offer a truly exceptional level of expertise to both his business and his clients.
Of course, every powerhouse must be built brick-by-brick. Scalzo's foundations lie within his homeland of Italy, with his path to success beginning at the age of 20 in 1988.

Taken from the Italian word Capriccio, Caprices stays true to its name. Carlo Scalzo, Caprices founder, is proudly featuring products that he is passionate about and that customers were waiting for. Opened in 2015, Caprices boutique has quickly gained notoriety as the destination for Italian jewellery and watches with an excellent personalized shopping experience.
